Cheaper Holiday Card Tip

.

Hi Reader,

I hope you're having a good week so far!

Cheaper Holiday Card Tip

If you send out holiday cards to family and friends every year but don't want to pay the rising prices, consider designing them on your own in Canva, and printing them through a service like Shutterfly or Walgreens as 4x6 photos.

It's significantly cheaper to do it this way.

I'm actually trying this out for the first time this year instead of buying the pre-designed ones. There are different designs you can choose from even with a free Canva account. You can always create your own as well.

Instead of paying $2+ per card, I'm going to pay 28¢ per card.

That's a HUGE savings!

Make sure that you also buy some 4x6 envelopes, which you can get online for pretty cheap. I found some I linked in the post for 10 cents each.

If you want to know how to do this for free, I gathered 10 Free Canva templates to share with you, as well as a step-by-step tutorial of how to edit, download, and get your cards printed for a fraction of the price.

I go into more detail of how to do all of this in my brand new post I just wrote while writing this email, over in my Easy Family Budgeting blog. There is nothing to sell you, it's all free!

Halloween Update

I hope you had a great Halloween if you celebrate and that trick-or-treating went well if you go!

It was in the 30s and drizzly here in Minnesota but we still went out and the kids got a lot of candy.

Nothing like the Halloween blizzard in MN of 1991, I was 5 years old and had chosen to be a ghost that year...yep, a little girl wearing a white sheet with holes cut out for eyes, going through a couple feet of snow in a blizzard. Not ideal. Lol But it surely makes for memories though I wish I had a photo! All that to say, temps in the 30s and drizzle, doesn't stop us. ha!

Here is a photo of my little trick or treaters, 7yo twins and 9yo. All were going to be sharks but at the last minute, the 9yo decided to wear an old police officer costume. Btw this isn't in front of our house, just a nicely decorated house in the neighborhood.

Sorry my email is so late today, I'm sure you weren't sitting there waiting for it, but it's been a hectic morning. I'm just starting to get my ducks in a row now at nearly 2pm...then I decided to write a whole blog post on the cheaper holiday card concept...so things got mucchhhhh later.

Have a great week!
